12:00 PM-Corbin ONLY Tour
CORBIN ONLY TOUR
This tour is for guests who have already toured the Allen House and are wanting to ONLY tour the Corbin Education Center, formally known as the Juvenile Cultural Center, located on the campus of Wichita State University. The tour will begin at 12:00 pm AT Corbin and will last approximately one hour.
You will learn about the details, design and history behind the Corbin Education Center, designed in 1957 and dedicated in 1964. This 60-minute tour of the site will include exterior spaces, courtyard space, Dean’s Suite, public spaces, classrooms, second floor and esplanade. This is a walking tour, and you must be able to navigate stairs.
HOW TO GET TO THE CORBIN EDUCATION CENTER
The Corbin Education Center is located near Hillside & 21st St. It can be accessed from Hillside at Alumni Dr, then turning left onto Perimeter Rd; or from 21st St on Yale Ave, then turning left onto Perimeter Rd. Use Parking Lot #10, south of the Corbin Building. After parking, proceed across the street to the Bus Stop where we will begin the tour. You can also download a campus map here.
